Portfolio

Throughout this semester, I developed a variety of public relations design projects that strengthened my skills in branding, visual communication and strategic messaging. Each project below highlights the objective, audience, design process and lessons learned. Business Card, Letterhead and Envelope

Completed: Summer 2026

This branding package was created for my personal brand as an aspiring public relations professional. The audience included potential employers, internship supervisors and professional contacts. The objective was to create a cohesive visual identity through a business card, letterhead and envelope that reflected both professionalism and creativity.

Using Adobe InDesign, I developed a consistent design across all three pieces while applying principles of typography, color and layout. This project strengthened my understanding of visual identity and demonstrated how consistent branding creates a strong first impression.

Mailer/Handouts

Completed: Summer 2026

This mailer campaign was created for the University of Oklahoma to communicate with two different stakeholder groups. The objective was to deliver relevant information through two double-sided mailers while maintaining a unified visual identity.

Each mailer was designed with its audience in mind, balancing visuals and messaging to communicate information clearly. Working on this project improved my ability to tailor communication for different audiences while maintaining consistency throughout a campaign.

Social Media Campaign

Completed: Summer 2026

This social media campaign was developed for the University of Oklahoma to connect with prospective students through engaging digital content. I created a LinkedIn cover, LinkedIn post, X cover, Instagram post and Instagram story. The design on the right is the Instagram post. The objective was to promote campus life, traditions and academic opportunities using graphics designed for social media platforms.

The campaign required creating eye-catching visuals paired with concise messaging that aligned with the university’s brand. It strengthened my skills in digital design and reinforced the importance of creating content that captures attention while communicating a clear message.

Newsletter

Completed: Summer 2026

This newsletter was created for the University of Oklahoma to provide prospective students and their families with a comprehensive overview of campus life and academic opportunities. Rather than focusing on a single topic, the publication brought together information about academics, student organizations, financial aid, leadership opportunities, athletics and campus traditions in one cohesive resource.

The objective was to inform readers by presenting a variety of information in a way that was organized, engaging and easy to navigate. The newsletter was designed to encourage prospective students to explore what OU has to offer while helping families better understand the student experience.

The project was completed using Adobe InDesign. Designing this newsletter reinforced the importance of structuring content around the reader’s experience. It demonstrated how strong editorial design can transform large amounts of information into a publication that is both visually appealing and easy to read, making complex information more accessible for a broad audience.

Brochure

Completed: Summer 2026

This brochure brought together everything I learned throughout the semester into one polished piece. Rather than focusing on a single message, it introduced readers to the full University of Oklahoma experience by highlighting academics, campus traditions, student life and opportunities beyond the classroom. Every panel was planned to keep the information flowing naturally, allowing readers to move through the brochure without feeling overwhelmed.

One of the most rewarding parts of this project was deciding how to present a large amount of content without sacrificing visual appeal. Using Adobe InDesign to choose images, refine headlines and arrange each panel required careful attention to pacing and balance so that every section felt connected. Small design decisions, from the placement of photos to the use of color and white space, helped create a piece that felt inviting and easy to explore.

Looking back, this project gave me a greater appreciation for how design influences the way people experience information. It showed that an effective brochure doesn’t just share facts; it creates interest, encourages curiosity and leaves readers with a positive impression long after they’ve finished reading.
